Sue lives in  Nottingham in the UK.  She began her art career at Wallasey School of Art and later studied at art colleges or universities in Leeds, Liverpool, London and Nottingham. She has an MA in Fine Art and has exhibited very widely, winning many painting awards.

As well as her own painting Sue runs workshops and demonstrations for art societies and other organisations. She also organises painting weekends in the UK and painting holidays in Europe.  She is able to teach to all levels of ability and experience.  In addition she has published a book on watercolour painting for the Batsford publishing company and produced two DVDs on painting.  She frequently writes articles for “Leisure painter” and “The Artist” magazines.

Sue believes that successful painting is a combination between artistic vision, accurate observation, and and understanding of the painting medium used. She aims to teach all three of these abilities at a level appropriate to the experience of the students.
