Sue Sareen MA: a short curriculum vitae

Sue hails from Merseyside. Her first formal art education was in Wallasey before attending Leeds College of Art for her painting degree. After a further successful period attending the Sir John Cass College, London she taught Art in London before obtaining her teaching qualifications at Liverpool College of Art, subsequently teaching for several years in local schools and lecturing in Birkenhead School of Art. She later moved to Nottingham, lecturing in various Higher Education Institutes. During this period she obtained her MA in Fine Art.

Subsequently Sue built up a successful business: SareenArts.Com specialising in private art tuition for small groups. She later expanded the business to include weekly Painting Courses, Art Day Schools, Painting Weekends and latterly a long-running series of very successful Painting Holidays in the UK and Europe.

Sue regularly runs workshops and painting demonstrations for art societies and publishes magazine articles, videos and DVDs.

Her work is represented by the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London, and Derbyshire Arts and Crafts, Bakewell, Derbyshire.
